Surface Water Drainage
Surface water drainage is the management of rainwater runoff from roofs, driveways, and paved areas, crucial for preventing flooding, erosion, and property damage. Our range covers the last line of defence: channel drainage to catch water at ground level, flexible connectors to tie awkward runs together, soakaway crates to deal with volume underground, and rodding access to keep everything serviceable long after handover.

FAQ’s:
When do I need channel drainage instead of underground pipework?
Channel drainage is used where water needs to be captured at surface level — driveways, paths and door thresholds — before it ever reaches underground pipes.
Are plastic or metal channel tops better?
Plastic tops are common for patios and pedestrian areas. Metal tops are better for driveways or areas with occasional vehicle traffic.
Do soakaway crates replace traditional rubble soakaways?
Yes. Crates provide far greater water storage, are easier to install, and are more predictable than rubble-filled pits.
Can flexi couplers be used to repair existing drains?
Absolutely. They’re often used as a quick, reliable fix when replacing damaged sections or connecting new drainage to older pipework.
Do I really need rodding access on surface water runs?
If you want fewer call-backs, yes. Leaves, silt and debris build up over time, rodding eyes make maintenance straightforward.
